On the first exam your score was a 97%, on the second it was an 90%, and on the third test it was an 74%. The first exam is worth 7% of your grade, the second is worth 14% of your grade and the third is worth 29% of your grade. What is your average in the class so far? (please round your answer to 1 decimal place)

Let us assume the test was of 100 marks. Then you secured 97, 90 and 74 in first, second and third test respectively.

First test is considered to be 7% thus out of 97, 7% will go to final grade similarly in the case of 2nd and third test.

Final = 0.07×97 + 0.14 × 90 + 0.29 × 74 = 40.85

Thus out of 50% you secure 40.9

Thus your average in the class so far = 40.9
