Write one moral and ethical breach by the company in one paragraph on the movie, North Country. Thank you.
Film explains how workplaces have changed showing the Lois Jenson vs Eveleth Taconite case (first ever class-action sexual harassment lawsuit). What it feels like working in a “male-dominant” workplace and the most critical ethical and moral issues has been pictured in the film. Mistreatment of women in the iron mines, “inappropriate toys” in her lunch box, semen on her clothes, explicit language written on the walls, etc. are some serious moral and ethical issues shown in the movie. The most critical thing was that men’s are feeling that they are not doing anything wrong. The acts shown can never be a part of workplace as they are ethically and morally horrible. All such actions by the men’s in the movie has shown not only mentality of an individual men but also the group and company mentality. It is an example of ethical and moral breach by the company.
