Answer #1

Answer:

=> First of all the atomic radii depends on number of electrons in an atom.

=> If number of electrons are more then the size is also more.

=> Now, the size of the atom is directly proportional to the radii.

=> Among all the given atoms including Cl- ion, I (Iodine) belong to the halogens family and from top to bottom in a group, size of the atom increases.

=> So having the highest atomic number I will have more size than Cl atom.

=> Since Cl- will have an extra electron than Cl atom so it is higher in size than Cl atom and also radii.

=> In periods from left, atomic size decreases therefore Na will have higher radii than Cl atom.

=> Since P and Cl atom belong to the same period, P will have higher radii.

=> Among all the halogens F is the first element and will have least size than Cl.

=> So except F , all the remaining atoms/ions in the given list will have larger radii.

Thanks and I hope you like it.
