Gregg vs Georgia

In above case, gregg a men who was convicted of murder and robbery was given a death penalty by Lower court and when he appeal in superior Court (supreme court) he defended that his death penalty violate the eighth and fourteen amendment of the construction.

Court decision :- Supreme court held that the death penalty is fair ans justice in extreme cruel cases like murder, brutal rape etc. And it doesn't violate eighth and fourteen amendment and given their consent to the order of lower court.

Mccleskey (defendant) who was a black man convicted of killing a police officer. He was given death penalty and he challenged the decision in superior Court on the ground that he is black that's why he was given death penalty and it's racial discrimination.

Court rejected his appeal and said that he must have Enough evidence to prove that a racial discrimination took place only allegations are not enough.

Opinion :- Yes, I do support death penalty (capital punishment) because it is necessary to create a fear in the mind of criminals and to eliminate the crime from society, it is necessary to give death penalty.

The person who commit cheap crime like rape with a small baby girls has no right to survive in this society.
It is necessary to give the death penalty to those criminals who cross all limits of brutality to teach other criminal a lesson.
Death punishment for a serious crime will create a fear in the mind of other criminals and they will be forced to think 100 times before committing any crime.
