Answer #1

Answer:

Calculation of profit/(loss)

Profit / (loss) = Sale price - Purchase price

Sale price = Ask price x (1- 0.40)

Ask price = $6000 x (1 + 0.40)

= $6000 x 1.40

= $8,400

Sale price = $ 8,400 x 0.40

= $5,040

Profit / (loss) = $5,040 - $6000

= ($ 960)

So, the man will have a loss of $960.
