Vitamins are organic -Beacuse they are made from either plants or animals.

They are found in inactive provitamin form.-sometimes they are inactive and are and found as provitamin and these are converted to active form when in need .

They are usually required in smaller quantity.-vitamins are not required in larger amount but they are required only in smaller amount

Vitamins are both essential and harmful - vitamins are essential for our body in smaller quality but in larger quantity they are somewhat harmful.

2.vegetarian diets produce insufficient amount of vitamin B12

Because vitamin B 12 is present more only in animal products and people who are strict vegetarians will not get sufficient amount of vitamin and cannot fulfill the amount of vitamin B 12 needed by the body .So vegetarians have more risk of developing a vitamin B 12 deficiency.

Yes vitamin C has major role of acting as antioxidant .It has ability to donate a electron .And antioxidant activity of vitamin C will protect our body from dangerous free radicals.
