What is the consumer-adoption process? Please explain in detail the various steps in the process?

MEANING OF CONSUMER ADOPTION PROCESS .

It is a sort of mental process by which a consumer first passes from hearing about the new innovation to final adoption of the product .

There are 5 steps in the consumer - adoption process

1. PRODUCT AWARENESS

By this process the consumer gently becomes aware about the new product . And it is the fact that awareness leads towards growing interest towards the product .

2. PRODUCT INTEREST

Consumer search information related to the product . When consumer get all the information about the product then the consumer towards the stage of evolution and contemplate to buy the product .

3. PRODUCT EVOLUTION

In the stage of trial , the one who want to buy try in a small measure to confirm wheather the dicision of try new type of product is right or not .

4. PRODUCT TRIAL

When person decide to buy then he try once that he is satisfied with the new product or not . And if he is then he move towards the process of adoption .

5. PRODUCT ADOPTION

In this process the consumer finally decide to make the regular use of the product . And purchase it .
