Answer #1

Answers :

1. CAM plant store Malic acid in their vacuoles.

  • During day time, malic acid breaks into pyruvate and CO2.
  • This CO2 got fixed in Calvin cycle.
  • Pyruvate is used up to regenerate PEP.

2. C) Mesophyll cell cytoplasm.

  • As we know, leaves are the kitchen of plant.
  • Mesophyll is the photosynthetic tissue of leaf.
  • So sucrose is synthesized phhotosynthetically in the cytoplasm of mesophyll cells.

3. D) Active transport

  • Movement of sugars in phloem begins at the source, where sugars are loaded (actively transported) into sieve tube.
  • Loading of phloem sets up a qater potential gradient the mass movement of sugar.
