A new hire for your company appears to have a learning rate of 60% for the task they will be doing. If that rate applies for 16 cycles (i.e., their "learning" levels off after 16 repetitions of the task), then how long will it take them to do their first 25 tasks assuming that their first attempt takes them 30 minutes? What if you were comparing that potential new hire to second new hire whose first try was 20 min but whose learning rate was 80% for 4 cycles (and constant thereafter)? Who would be the better new hire if you only cared about employing them for 70 cycles of the task, why?
