Alpha - MSH ( melanocyte stimulating hormone) - It is secreted by intermediate lobe of pituitary gland. It may also rise due to the presence of excessive leptin or any other reasons. Hence it doesn’t put you at greater risk of being diagnosed with metabolic syndrome.
