  • 5.Criterion validity refers to,how well one measure predicts an outcome for another measure. A test has this type of validity if it is useful for predicting performance or behavior in another situation (past, present, or future). For example:A job applicant takes a performance test during the interview process. If this test accurately predicts how well the employee will perform on the job, the test is said to have criterion validity.
  • Criterion validity is an estimate of the extent to which a measure agrees with a gold standard (i.e., an external criterion of the phenomenon being measured).It is divided into 2 types,predictive and concurrent.
  • Predictive validity is the ability of a survey instrument to predict for future occurrences. Correlations are used to generate predictive validity coefficients with other measures that assess a validated construct that will occur in the future.
  • Concurrent validity pertains to the ability of a survey to correlate with other measures that are already validated. Both the survey of interest and the validated survey are administered to participants at the same time.
  • 9.360 degree feedback refers to a feedback process where not just your superior but your peers and direct reports and sometimes even customers evaluate you. You receive an analysis of how you perceive yourself and how others perceive you.
  • One of the most important benefits to an employee receiving 360 degree feedback is increased self-awareness. Participants are given a complete report that includes their strengths and areas for improvement. This gives the employee insight into their behaviour and into how they are perceived by others in the organization. A deeper understanding is reached when the individual compares their self-assessment with those of the raters.
  • 360 feedback reviews are useful to the employee as they provide a well-rounded and balanced view of their skills and behaviours.
