SOLUTION :

Using statcrunch,

Given

Lower bound is 15 and class width is 6

We have calculate the upper bound using lower bound and classwidth,

We known that,

Class width : class width is the actual length of class interval.we can find the class width as follows.

Class width = Upper bound - lower bound

Upper Bound = Class width + Lower Bound

= 6+ Lower Bound

= 6 +15

Upper Bound = 21

The above procedure is repeated and we find the all upper bound of the gruoped frequency distribution.

Classify the observation one by one in the appropriate class by putting tally marks in the third column against

the corresponding Lower and Upper Bound. Cross the observation from the original data to avoid double counting. Count the tally marks and enter the no in fourth column.

The grouped frequency distribution is,

Lower Bound Upper Bound Tally Marks Frequency
15.0 21.0 III 3
21.0 27.0 IIIII IIII 9
27.0 33.0 IIII 4
33.0 39.0 II 2
39.0 45.0 II 2

Total = 20
