Answer #1

1 slug = 1   lbf *s?

A slug is defined as the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is exerted on it.

Thor's mass = 7.1 slug = 7.1   lbf *s?

Weight on earth with 32.2 ft/s2 acceleration due to gravity = 7.1 *  lbf *s? * 32.2 *   \frac{ft}{s^{2}}

= 7.1 lbf * 32.2

  = 228.4354 lbf
