The chance of dehydration is very high if a patient undergoes ileostomy because the absorption of water takes place in large intestine, when this is incised absorption dies not happen leading to dehydration

The appliance pouch should be worn continuously

Generally low fiber diet us recommended

Enteric coated medication are not recommended
