How are supplier relationships different in lean systems?
In the initial marketing model , the suppliers and the buyers are the rivals. Supplier wants to supply the lower amount of goods to just get into the contract and the buyers want the lower price. The buyer keeps pressuring the suppliers to fulfill their demand and the supplier is unable to fulfill their demand without their own lose. So , Their is no mutual thinking among supplier and buyer. BUT IN THE LEAN SYSTEM , both suppliers and buyers are the partners. Their success are directly dependable on each other. In the lean system , the buyer doesn't focus on increasing his profit and reducing supplier profit , instead he prefers to increase the total output of the goods so that it will profit both of them. The pricing of the goods should not be according to the supplier , Instead , any price fixing method should to adopt on which both buyer and supplier have to agree. The buyer should emphasize the supplier to decrease price of the goods by improving method of production. This method binds the suppliers and buyers with trust and it also reduces cost and time both.
