<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.4.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
   $("#one").css("font-size","2em");
   $("#two").addClass("sectionStyle");
});
</script>
<style>
.sectionStyle {
font-style: italic;

}
</style>
</head>
<body>

<section id="one">
yourName
</section>
<section id="two">
yourStudentNumber
</section>

</body>
</html>

The only change in the code will be the location of jquery javascript file, as your problem described. Just create a new folder ,place jquery file in it and replace src as "<foldername>/<jqueryFileName>" and you are good to go.
