Based on the above data, we find the equation of the line and r^{2} as shown below:

As seen from above,

y = 68.362 + 0.5094x

c) r^{2} = 0.563

r = 0.7503

Hence, approx 75% of the variation in the dependent variable is explained by the independent variable

d) For x = 41,

y = 68.362 + 0.5094*41 = 89.2474 = 89.247
