1) The sister group or taxon to the clade Ephedra are Welwitschia and Gnetum. As, They are derived from the same acestor node.

2) The clade that has the unique character of vessels porose is Gnetales. They also show pollen striate character. The Gnetales consists of Ephedra, Welwitschia and Gnetum taxons.

3) There are no polytomies represented in this tree, as, no nodes have more than two descendants.

4) The closest relative of Angiospermae is Cycadophyta, as Angiospermae is the root to Cycadophyta.
