Need help with explanation of the problem below if it was linked. Specifically, why are the parental and recombinants chosen as those values? I would’ve thought the parental would be two larger #s and recombinants, 2 smaller #s. Also, if you can help me understand the answer to questions 3 and 4.

From the recombination frequency it shows that the genes are slightly linked as the recombination frequency is less than 50%. If it ware more than 50% we would say that they are unlinked. We can use chi- square test to confirm the answer. If you wish we can do dat. Say me in the comments if you need that.
