Answer #1

Given\ that\\ T_1=800 ,T_2=900 K\\ E_d=1.51\times10^4\ J/mol\\ We\ know\ that\\ ln\frac{R_2}{R_1}=\dfrac{E_d}{R}\left ( \dfrac{1}{T_1}-\dfrac{1}{T_2} \right )\\ Where,R_1\ and\ R_2\ are\ leak\ rate\\

ln\frac{R_2}{R_1}=\dfrac{1.51\times10^4}{8.314}\left ( \dfrac{1}{800}-\dfrac{1}{900} \right )\\ \ln\dfrac{R_2}{R_1}=0.25225

R_2=1.286R_1\\

Therefore new rate of leak

\Delta R=\dfrac{R_2-R_1}{R_1}\times 100\\ \Delta R=\dfrac{1.286R_1-R_1}{R_1}\times 100\\ \Delta R=28.6\ percent

Therefore the new leak rate will increase by approximately 30 %.

    A sample of gas in a balloon has an initial temperature of 15 °C and a volume of 1.31x103 L. If the temperature changes to 72 °C and there is no change of pressure or amount of gas, what is the new volume, ½ , of the gas? Express your answer with the appropriate units. Charles's law states that the volume of a gas is directly related to the absolute temperature when there is no change in the pressure or...

    can you write a conclusion for the report? Thermal Conductivity Lab Introduction The objective of this lab is to explore the thermal conductivity of various materials using Fourier’s Law and a steady state system. Certain materials are more effective heat conductors than others. The effectiveness of a given material at heat conduction is influenced by many factors, including density, molecular structure, and chemical composition. Fourier’s Law takes these factors into account to calculate Q, or the joules per second rate...
