We are interested in describing the distribution of the winning times Using JMP, generate the following table and fill in the blanks, frequency relative frequency (proportion) male female Instructions: a) Download the data file marathon berinto your computer b) Open JMP c) Click on File -> Open - marathon txt". You will see in the Recent Files window the data marathon listed. d) Give double click and open the data marathon. You will see three columns, the first variable is the year of winning the second the gender of the winner and the third is the time. Each row corresponds to a winner of the marathon e) Select Analyze - Tabulate. Select Gender from the list of variables and drag it to "Drop zone for columns". A frequency table for the genders should then appear. 1) To obtain relative frequencies, then find % of total in the set of options and drag this over to the table generated in part(e) of this question.
