O.S of C = - 2, O.S of O = 0              O.S of C = +4, O.S of O = - 2

O.S of H = +1                                   O.S of H = +1

Therefore species reduced = O₂                 Reducing agent = CH₄O

Species oxidised = CH₄O                  Oxidising agent = O₂

• Mass of NaHCO₃ = (Molarity X Gram Molecular Weight X Volume of solution) / 1000

= (0.755 X 84 X 750) / 1000

= 47.565 g

• M1V1 = M2V2
