Say that on average teenagers eat 10 slices of pizza each week, with a 95% confidence interval of (8-12). We take a sample of teenagers and find that this group eats an average of 9 slices each week. What can we say about the teenagers in the sample in relation to the confidence interval?

on average teenagers eat 10 slices of pizza each week, with a 95% confidence interval of (8-12).

Also We take a sample of teenagers and find that this group eats an average of 9 slices each week.

I.e sample mean value lies within the 95% confidence interval (8, 12) it means that we can use this to estimate population mean which can lie in given 95% of interval and it can said to best estimate for population mean.

I.e the given sample of 9 teenagers is used to find how many slices on an average teenagers will be eat in week. And given value that they eat 9 slices is lies in given interval. So our claim is correct with probability of 95%.
