Answer #1

Answer : The Deadennilation. For eukaryotic somatic cells, the poly(A) tail of most mRNAs in the cytoplasm is progressively shorter, and the mRNAs with shorter poly(A) tail are expressed less and degraded sooner. Once the poly(A) tail has been removed, the decapping complex eliminates the 5′ band, leading to a degradation of the RNA.

The poly(A) tail protects the mRNA from degradation, helps to export the mature mRNA to the cytoplasm and contributes to the binding of the proteins involved in the initiation of translation. Introns are separated from the premRNA before the mRNA is transferred to the cytoplasm.

During nuclear polyadenylation, at the end of the transcription, a poly(A) tail is attached to the RNA. On mRNAs, the poly(A) tail defends the mRNA molecule from enzymatic degradation in the cytoplasm and helps to end transcription, export of mRNA from the nucleus, and translation.
