Concept - find the final speed using equation of kinematics where initial velocity and time and acceleration are given. Impulse will be equal to the change in momentum of the rock. We use the velocity and mass to find the required impulse as shown belowV = Vi tat = 14.9 m/s + (-9.8m/s36055) = 10 m/s impulse = AP = m(uf-vi) = (1519) (10m/s – 14-9m/s) = -7.35 Nis***************************************************************************************************
