Part A

Focal length = radius of curvature/2

f = - 22/2 = - 11 cm. Ans.

Part 2

Using mirror formula,

1/u + 1/v = 1/f

1/(-31) + 1/v = 1/(-11)

1/v = -1/11 + 1/31

v = (11 × 31)/(11 - 31)

= - 17.05 cm

= - 17 cm
