Telecommunication is a set up of networks to exchange the informations like texts, signals, images, messages or may be video or audios through electromagnetic systems.

Now, while discussing about applications of telecommunications, there are several applications of it like facsimile, e mail, messaging, video conferencing, commicating through internet, distance learning, transmitting data, etc.

Let's discuss one the applications say, video conferencing.

It enables, people from distant locations to exchange video and audio through technology which happens in real time. Through this two or more than two people can connect to each other through network.

For making settings for video conferencing, a system needed to be set up with a remote control camera to make the video visible and record and for the audio the system should have a microphone so that audio can be sent through signals that may be analog or digital to the other party.

For connecting the calls, there is a need of Internet connections with all the parties who are involved in video conferencing

Now a days these can be easily done through mobiles, tab or laptop.

If we talk about the benefits of video conferencing, it has too many uses :

• People can see, talk to to their dear ones even being a distance from them.
• People can held important meeting and discussions over video conferencing if they are not able to meet and have face to face discussion.
• Students now a days are availing education through online classes which are performed using video conferencing.

If we consider the current situation, due to COVID-19, people are trying to avoid going to places ot going out of their house. In this peak time, there is a huge demand of video conferencing to perform their important task as meeting people in the current scenario is not that possible.

Even students are not able to go to school, hence their classes are going on through video conferencing.

So, we saw the benefits of video conferencing.

But with this, also comes some drawbacks of video conferencing.

At times, there are chances of information leak, as people are discussing important issue via video conferencing and if security is not up to mark, there is chance that information may be leaked and misused.

So, while using this we must keep in mind that the activity is performed through trusted source and the security is appropriate to stop any misuse of the informations.

This is the major drawback. One more problem may arise that at times the network may not responding properly dur to which there can be errors in connections that produces disruption in meeting and important task.

So, we saw the problems associated with it.

But, in the end we can say that the problems can be well handled with using trusted source to communicate and with a proper network connection. It IA a very good medium to interact with people being at distance.
