Inductance, L = 35 mH

supply frequency, f = 50 Hz

(a) Device impedance, Z = ( R + j XL ) = ( R + j 2*pi*f*L) = ( 7.2 + j 2*pi* 50* 35*10-3) ohms = (7.20 + j 10.96) ohms

(b) RMS current , I = V / Z = ( 240 / (7.20 + j 10.96)) = 18.3022 – 56.700 A (rms) (ans)
