P = Pressure,V = Volume , T = Temperature

When using the equation,ensure that the units of pressure volume and temperature are same on both sides. The unit of temperature which should be used is K.

1st question:

The temperature remains constant. So T1 = T2

Initially, 53L of gas is present at 1.6 atm. So, V1 = 53L and P1 = 1.6atm

Final volume =V2 = need to find.

Final pressure is 0.16atm = P2

Putting in the formula :
