Answer #1

Solution:

As We know that the average force on a body is equal to-

=change in momentum/time

So we need to calculate the time first.

Now from third equation of motion

V2 =U2 + 2as

So u =0 here hence

a = 46.1 x 46.1 × 100 / 2 x 1.21. ( cm into meter)

Now time v = u + at

So t = v/ a. = 46.1 x 2 x 1.21 / 46.1 x 46.1 x100.

t = 2 x 1.21 / 46.1 x 100. Sec

Now average force = impulse/time

So force = 2.0745 x 46.1 x 100 /2 x 1.21 = 3951.837 N
