Answer #1

In a cross of the individuals, can carry out a "test-cross" of the individual with a homozygous recessive for the trait. If an individual is homozygous TT, then when crossed with a recessive individual, tt, all of the offspring will be Tt and have the dominant phenotype. If, instead, the individual is heterozygous, Tt, then when crossed with tt, half of the offspring will show the dominant phenotype (Tt) and half will show the recessive phenotype (tt).
