Horizontal component, Fx = F1 cos53 = 7.2 cos(53) = 4.33 N

Vertical component, Fy = F2 + F1 sin53 = 5 + 7.2 sin(53) = 10.75 N

Magnitude, F = sqrt(Fx^2 + Fy^2) = 11.59 N

Direction = arctan (Fy/Fx) = 68.06 degree
