The Capstone Project is a two-semester process in which students pursue independent research on a problem or question of their choice, they engage with the scholarly debates in the relevant disciplines, and with the guidance of a faculty mentor. They produce a substantial paper that shows a deep understanding of the topic.It is the final project of an academic program, basically it integrates all of the learning from that program.

The major focus of capstone project is to address an issue in the field by applying existing knowledge toward a real-life problem often in the form of fieldwork.
