Answer #1

Given: Mass of nonelectrolyte solute = 3.88 g, Volume of solution =415 mL

T = 27 deg C = 27 deg C + 273.15 =             300.15 K , Osmotic pressure = 889 torr

a) What is the molar concentration of the solution?

Lets convert Osmotic pressure to atm

1 atm = 760 torr

Pressure in atm = 889 atm * 1 atm / 760 torr = 1.170 atm

We know equation for osmotic pressure

? = i CRT , Here ? is osmotic pressure , i Vant
