Question

An empty flatbed truck is parked (at rest) along a straight, level road. The bed of the truck has a set of coordinate axes drawn on it as shown here an and there is a mouse, initially sitting at rest at the origin of this coordinate system. Then the truck driver starts to drive along the road At first, the mouse stays at the origin of the trucks coordinate system. But then, at a certain moment designated as0s, the mouse begins to roam on the flat, level bed of the truck. The mouses motion (measured with the trucks coordinate system) is shown in these graphs: 0.2 0.1 4s)-0.05 m/s t (s) t (s) 1O (9s)--0.05 m/s And the trucks motion relative to the earth is shown in these time graphs: ah (mis t (s) t (s) a. Find the mouses velocity, measured with respect to the earth, at 5.00 s. Express that velocity in magnitude-angle format (where east is defined as 0° and north is defined as 90°) b. Same question as part a (and same behavior by the mouse relative to the trucks bed). But its a different road this time-still level but not straight (so now the coordinate system drawn on the trucks flat bed rotates whenever the truck follows any turn in the road). The trucks motion over the earth is now given by the following time graphs: (mls 10s)-5 m/s 10s)-4 m/s 10
