Translation Motion : It is the motion in which all the particles of the body moves in same direction. It is of two types rectilinear and curvilinear.
Rotational motion : Rotation motion in a system occurs when all the particles in the system move in circular direction.
General motion : This type of motion is combination of rotational and linear motion. When the body performs both motions simultaneously it is called general motion.
(a) It is translation motion. The type is rectilinear.
(b) It is rotational motion as the path observed is circular in nature.
(c) It is translation motion. The type is curvilinear as all parts are moving in same direction as well as in curve.
(d) It is general motion as the system is showing linear as well as circular direction.
(e) It is general motion as the object is rotating and moving in the forward direction.
(f) It is general motion as both rotational as well as linear motion occurs at same time.
(g) The motion shown is translation as the points A and B shown are moving in same direction as shown in two positions.
