Acid Rain - Due to atmospheric pollution, the gases like carbondioxide (nitrogen oxides and sulphur) react with the droplets of water in clouds to form sulphuric acid and nitric acids. Then the rain from these clouds falls as weak acids, which is known as Acid rain.
When plants get exposed to this acid rain, it dissolves the outer waxy layer of tissue that protects the plant from drying out, which destroy chloroplasts and eventually effect on the amount of photosynthesis. If many leaves are damaged then, the plant will become host for many pests and disease causing organisms.
This acid rain also have adverse effects on the soil where the plants are growing. These acid rains alters the pH of the soil, binds and dissolve vital minerals and even washes them away, that are essential for plant Growth. Gradually the Soil pH will fall down as this acid rain continues and leads to yellowing of viens on the leaves.
Acid rains also affect aquatic plants and their growth by releasing the toxic substances into the water that dissolves the essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium and potassium which results in their stunted growth.
If the Peso depreciates, how does this affect consumers and exporters? are they benefited or negatively affected? explain why
1. How does pH specifically affect bacterial growth? 2. How specifically does temperature affect bacterial growth? 3. What terms are used to describe optimum temperature for bacteria? 4. Specifically, how can osmotic pressure affect growth of bacteria? 5. How can anaerobes be grown in the lab? What is the name of the broth? The indicator it contains? 6. Difference between defined and undefined media and understand how media components will support the bacterial growth or not (i.e. fastidious or not)
Why does virtualization negatively affect the hardware performance? Why does virtualization negatively affect the hardware performance? because the trap-and-emulate approach used by VT hardware generates a lot of traps, and traps are very expensive on modern hardware because they ruin CPU caches, TLBs, and branch prediction tables because the hypervisor turns off interrupts for the guest operating system which affects the entire machine because every occurrence of CLI instruction (clear interrupts) is replaced by "VirtualCPU.IF=0", which is a very cheap...
