Acids are the ones that donate their protons in the solutions , and the species formed is a conjugate base.

Base are the ones that receive protons and the species thus formed is a conjugate acid.

So here :

a) HNO3 = acid

NaOH = base

NaNO3 = conjugate base

H2O = conjugate acid

b) CaCO3 = base

HCl = acid

CaCl2 = conjugate base

H2O = conjugate acid

c) NH3 = base

HCN = acid

NH4CN = conjugate base
