Answer #1

When negotiating a starting salary and benefits employers will most likely never make their best offer known at first. It is up to both parties to come to an understanding that will work for both of them. the first thing to do before getting reday for an interview and job offer is to prepare to bargain which means to do research on the company. with this information at hand , it makes it easier to talk about money when you feel that the interviewer wants to hire you. yet do not take money before that as they could see you as too aggressive and may not want to hire you. when it is the right time to talk about salary and benefits it is good to talk about it before the employer and never give out sepecific numbers but industry range. Also talk about mandatory bargaining item such as bonus plan, health care plan, retairement program, vacation time ,and any other term of employment you are expecting. But you must prepare that you may not get everything you want, but also make employer see your value and what you can bring to the company.
