because larynx(voice box) is located at the level between C3 and C6 vertebrae just above the tracheal origin.

Trachea starts below the larynx at C6 level.

Therefore its bifurcation is obviously below it.

Thacheal bifurcation into main bronchus occurs at the level of T4 -T5 vertebrae i.e. at sternal angle.
