Please explain answers

A researcher is interested in the weight change of Canadian snow geese. She collects a random sample of snow geese and feeds some of them a diet of plants (labeled Plants) and some of them dog food (labeled Chow). The dataset is in the file snowgeese.xls. Of interest is whether the true average weight changes are different at the 1% significance level. Analyze the data. Report summary statistics. Justify and interpret the results. Be sure to state which procedure that you are using. Describe in context what making Type I and Type II errors would be.

h-l please. also, for part (g) the interval is [6.71,8.95] A scientist studying snow crabs wanted to determine the relationship between crab shell width and amount of edible meat in the crab. Specifically, the objective was to "predict" the amount of edible meat from shell width (making Y the amount of edible meat and X the shell width). He caught 16 snow crabs and measured shell widths (in inches) before opening them up to measure the weight (in ounces) of...

    1. If we increase our food intake, we generally gain weight. Nutrition scientists can calculate the amount of weight gain that would be associated with a given increase in calories. In one study, 16 non-obese adults, aged 25 to 36 years, were fed 1000 calories per day in excess of the calories needed to maintain a stable body weight. The subjects maintained this diet for 8 weeks, so they consumed a total of 56,000 calories. According to theory, 3500 extra...

Can you please explain in simple terms the methods of this experiment? I'm having difficulty visualizing and understanding what is being done. I have copied and pasted some of the text from the article. Thank you! Abstract : Obesity, high-fat diets, and subsequent type 2 diabetes (T2DM) are associated with cognitive impairment. Moreover, T2DM increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and leads to abnormal elevation of brain beta-amyloid levels, one of the hallmarks of AD. The psychoactive alkaloid caffeine...
