The Opioid drugs include,

  • codeine
  • fentanyle
  • hydrocodone
  • hydromorphone
  • meperidinne
  • methadone
  • morphine, etc

It is used in anlgesia for cancer,fracture ankle, opioida continue to be used in over 50 percent of emergency department migrane visit,

for laparoscopic appendectomies intermittent or patient controlled opioids analgesia is effective

Acetamenophen injection is also used in combination withh opoids medication to relieve moderate to severe pain
