Answer #1

Actors:

Mean = \mu = 44.1

standard deviation = \sigma = 8.8

Daniel's age = x = 29

Standardized Score of Daniel:

z = T

29 44.1 8.8

z = - 1.72           (Round to 2 decimal)

Actress:

Mean = \mu = 36.0

standard deviation = \sigma = 11.4

Yalitza's age = x = 25

Standardized Score of Yalitza:

z = T

25 36 11.4

z = - 0.96

Daniel's standardized score = - 1.72

Yalitza's standardized score = - 0.96

Here Yalitza's standardized score is close to zero.

So Yalitza is younger.
