Answer #1

18. When we drink a liquid through a straw at sea level, we first suck the air inside the straw, this creates low air pressure inside the straw. The high air pressuse ouside the straw pushes the liquid inside the straw which eventually till our mouth.

Hence answer is A. True

19.

Extensive Property - Amount dependent properties which are additive or subtractive in nature are known as extensive property. Ex- Mass, Mole, Volume, Heat Capacity etc

Intensive Property - Amount independent properties which are neither additive nor subtractive in nature are known as extensive property. Ex- Density, Molarity etc.

Note- Ratio of two extensive property is always intensive.

I) Half life donot depend upon amout of reactant hence it is intensive.

II) Ka of a acid is constant at given temperature and donot depend upon amout of acid hence it is intensive.

III) Boiling point is not quantity dependent i.e water will have same boiling point no matter how much water you take. So it is also intensive.

IV) Density - Density is ratio of mass and volume so it not quantity dependent. Hnece it is also intensive property.

Hence answer will be D. all of these.

20)

As we know, Density is ratio of mass and volume so it not quantity dependent. it is also intensive property. So no matter how much amount you take density is same.

Hence answer is D. 13.5 g/cm3
