Answer #1

1. As is visible in the question that four antibiotics are being tested to determine their zone of inhibition against two bacteria namely MRSA and S. aureus.

Thus, the possible experimental question would be

“Is Antibiotic PE, VA, ME and CE are more effective is restricting the S. aureus bacteria than the MRSA bacteria?”

2. The possible hypothesis to test this question is

“The zone of inhibition for antibiotic PE, VA, ME and CE is larger for S. aureus bacteria than the MRSA bacteria”

3. Yes, the hypothesis is correct because larger is the zone of inhibition, the more effective is the antibiotic or in other way it can be said that larger is the zone of inhibition, more sensitive a bacteria is to the antibiotic

Based on above hypothesis, zone of inhibition around antibiotic PE, VA, ME and CE will be larger in tray having S. aureus bacteria culture than the

Tray having MRSA bacteria

4. Yes, the susceptibility of antibiotics is related to its developed zone of inhibition on the basis of its concentration.

can you please help me with Qs 1-6 thanks ! LAB EXERCISE #6: Kirby-Bauer Disk Diffusion Test for Antibiotie Sensitivity Determination The Kirby Bauer Test is an agar diffusion test that is used to determine the effectiveness of antibiotics killing various species of bacteria. Filter paper disks saturated with the antibiotic of interest are placed a Mueller-Hinton agar plate on which bacteria that has been isolated from a clinical sample has been sarcad. The antibiotic then diffuses from the disk...
