Answer #1

here,

Q1 = - 3 Q

Q2 = 3 Q

Q3 = 1 Q

the electric potential energy of charge 1 , PE1 = K * Q1 * Q2 /a + K * Q1 * Q3 /a

PE1 = K * (-3Q) /a * ( 3 Q + 1 Q)

PE1 = - 12 * K * Q^2 /a

the electric potential energy of the system of charges , PE = K * Q1 * Q2 /a + K * Q2 * Q3 /a + K * Q1 * Q3 /a

PE = K * Q^2 /a * ( (-3 * 3) + (3 * 1) + (- 3 * 1))

PE = - 9 K * Q^2 /a
