Two of the new trends in systems design and analysis is Extreme Programming (XP) and Agile Methodology. Differentiate between the two.

Extreme Programming-

Extreme Programming(XP) is the methodology to develope & design the software by improving the quality of the software. the developed software has ability to properly adapt to the changing needs of the customer or client.

Agile Methodology-

Agile Methodology is also a project based software deveopement method in which team of software developement responses to the unpredictability of constructing a software.It uses incremental, iterative work sequences that are commonly known as sprints.the continous improvement of the software is the one of the principle of agile methodlogy.

key difference between the two is that-

1. agile is the conceptual model while XP is the practical model based on the principles of agile.
2. XP is a discrete method while Agile is a classification.
3. XP is the one of the method of the agile methodology so XP is the sub part of agile method.
4. XP is narrow term for Agile methodology.

the some companies which are using Agile or XP are amazon, microsoft & other software startups because thier core work is with the software which can be improved by agile method.

amazon has been using agile method to improve its website structure so that customers can navigate easili & it also integrate the prime features with the site as well a smartphone application for users.

Google using XP methodolody to improve the quality of its android based applications according to the requirement of the client/customers.

Google has made many improvements in thier android softwares like voice contol command, map navigation in offline mode etc.
