Answer #1

Dimensions of a type K copper pipe of nominal diameter 1/2in are

Outside diameter (OD)- 0.625"

Inside diameter (ID)- 0.527"

Inside area- π*ID2/4= 0.218 in2

So, volume of water per foot of length- inside area*length- 0.218*12- 2.616in3........... (1 foot= 12in)

So, volume of water in per foot of length of a 1/2" nominal diameter copper tube is- 2.616in3
