The plant embryo is itself responsible for mobilization of nutrients into it. As the embryo germinates and absorbs water, it releases gibberellic acid.
Gibberellic acid signals aleurone layer to synthesise and release digestive enzymes. These digestive enzymes include amylase, protease and lipases.
All of these are responsible for the breakdown of starch into glucose, peptides into amino acid and fats into fatty acid and glycerol respectively.
All the monomers obtained after the breakdown are then used as nutrients by embryo this is called as nutrient mobilization.
