1)In this case, the research tries to determine if Sun X reduce the redness more than the other lotion. So, the question would be “Is the Sun X effective against the redness produced by the sun light?”

2)Alternative hypothesis: If the Sun X is an effective sun blocker, then the group treated with Sun X will have less amount of redness than other other groups”. Null hypothesis: If the Sun X is not effective enough, then the group treated with Sun X has will have more or the same amount of redness than the other groups

3)In this case, the prediction would be that the exposition to the sun when the group is treated with Sun X will reduce the amount of redness

4)The independent variable is the time of exposition.

5)The dependent variable is the average amount of redness because it depends on the efficacy of the lotions and time of exposition

6)The type of lotion is being controlled in each group

7)The experimental group is the Sun X treatment

8)The negative control is the group who was exposed to lotion alone
